At Pools By Roark, our story is rooted in family values and a commitment to quality. When Clayton Cowell purchased our parent company, Roark Solar & Pool Equipment, in 2022, he embraced the opportunity to continue Jim Roark’s legacy of exceptional service and top-tier products.
After an influx of service requests that same year, we expanded further by acquiring Tidy Tiki Pool Service in December 2022, allowing us to better serve our growing community.
Today, Clayton and the team remain dedicated to the same principles that built the Roark name: using and installing only the best brands, delivering honest communication, and providing professional, reliable pool care across Sarasota and the surrounding areas.
Our Pool Maintenance Manager, Tom, practically grew up in the water. With over 10 years of experience in pool maintenance and equipment, Tom brings a deep understanding of what it takes to keep every pool in top shape.
CPO certified and known for his exceptional customer service, he approaches every pool with care and attention to detail. Tom will be your dedicated point of contact, ready to assist with anything you need to keep your pool running smoothly. His passion for customer care is truly unmatched, making him a trusted leader on our team and a favorite among our customers.
Joe brings over 6 years of pool care experience, with a strong background in commercial pool maintenance.
Originally from South Jersey and a proud USF graduate, Joe has a natural connection to the water—he grew up around pools.
Known for his friendly personality, professionalism, and genuine love for both pools and pups, Joe is the kind of person customers instantly trust. His technical knowledge and approachable nature make him a valued part of our team and a favorite among our clients.
Our Field Supervisor, Will, is the go-to expert for all things technical. Before joining the pool industry, Will brought with him over 30 years of plumbing experience as a Journeyman, giving him an exceptional foundation for tackling even the most complex pool systems.
Hayward and CPO certified, he oversees our team of technicians and handles all of our advanced repair and installation work. Known for his excellent customer service and ability to answer all the “hard questions,” Will is a trusted leader who ensures every job meets the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
Andrew is one of our skilled solar system crew leaders, known for his precision and dedication to excellence.
With experience not only in solar installations but also in pool equipment installs, service, and maintenance, Andrew brings a well-rounded expertise to every job.
His true specialty lies in solar pool heating installations, where his attention to detail and commitment to perfection make his work stand out. Every system he installs reflects his pride in craftsmanship and his drive to deliver the best possible results for our customers.
Mike is the newest member of our team and has quickly proven himself to be a valuable addition.

As Jim Roark’s stepdaughter, Anne is proud to help continue the family legacy. In 2022, she and her husband, Clayton, purchased Roark Solar & Pool Equipment from Jim, carrying forward his longstanding commitment to quality and exceptional service.
With 4+ years of experience in both pool and solar, and as a CPO certified professional, she plays an active role in the company’s day-to-day operations.
Customers may even recognize her from being out in the field, stepping in to assist whenever needed. Her dedication ensures that the Roark standard of trusted, personal service remains strong.
Gabrielle ensures that all scheduling runs smoothly and efficiently, coordinating customer appointments and service timelines with precision and care.
Brittnee assists in managing sales estimates and scheduling, ensuring every customer inquiry is handled promptly and professionally. Her organization and attention to detail help keep our operations running seamlessly.
